The regional government has taken steps to aid the expansion of piped gas supplies east of Málaga city. A contract signed between the Junta and the company Gas Natural will see the network spread towards Nerja over the next four years. The two million euro deal is part of Andalucía's energy plan and is within the 10.4 million euros being invested to make gas available throughout the province of Málaga.
